ASSISTANT CHEF | FULL-TIME

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Chef who can assist the Head Chef in the planning, preparation, quality and presentation of food in our Care Home.

Applicants should hold all relevant qualifications for this position including City and Guilds Catering, an NVQ in catering and food safety/hygiene certificate etc. and they must work within the COSHH and HACCP guidelines. Strong leadership, good communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential as you will be negotiating with suppliers regularly. A proven ability to manage a busy kitchen, build a strong team and the ability to work on your own initiative is also key to this position.
A satisfactory DBS check applies to this position. Desired skills include previous experience in stock management and the dietary requirements and food preparation for elderly clients.

The position is 33 hours per week and offers excellent rates of pay and a first-class working environment coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.

CARERS | FULL-TIME (DAY & NIGHT)

We are looking to recruit full-time Carers to join our team - day shifts and night shifts available.

Your main responsibility will be to provide personal care for each resident, attending to their needs by recognising and facilitating the personal requirements of each resident. You’ll also be closely involved in the general activities of the home, and responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff members, and visitors. Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of the people you are looking after.

Applicants must have a genuine interest in working with elderly residents within a caring environment and a willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes would be ideal. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and fluently at all levels and be comfortable working as part of a team.

Experience is required for this position and a satisfactory, enhanced DBS check applies.

REGISTERED NURSE | FULL-TIME

We are looking to recruit a full-time Registered Nurse to join our team during the day shift.

The successful candidate must have good communication skills, be motivated to offer the highest standards of care and be able to undertake all appropriate aspects of nursing care required.

Responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for specified residents to ensure continuity of care and to take management responsibility for a shift as directed.

Applicants will be qualified RGN/RMN and will have a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Excellent communication skills are essential and applicants must be able to communicate effectively at all levels in English. Current NMC registration is necessary and a DBS check also applies to this position. Experience in care for the elderly and previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.

The position is 36 hours per week; while it will be primarily a day shift position, some flexibility to cover night shift for holidays and sickness will be required.
