Our Care Home in Merseyside

With our care home located within half an hour of both Birkenhead and Liverpool, our residents have a plethora of things to see and do right on their doorstep. Residents have access to many shops, eateries, attractions, and outdoor spaces within Heswall and the wider area, meaning no matter what their needs or interest are, we are perfectly located to meet them all. There are a variety of places to explore and experience in Merseyside, with some of our resident’s favourites being the Royal Albert Dock and Liverpool Cathedral. Both are beautiful landmarks that provide rich history and culture, through events, galleries, and shops.

We are also surrounded by stunning nature both coastal and country, such as Hilbre Island and Crosby Beach as well as Birkenhead Park and Carr Mill Dam. There are also lots of opportunities for family fun days out when residents welcome visitors. For those who love animals, Knowsley Safari is perfect for getting up close and personal with the likes of tigers, rhinos, lions, and many more. There are also amusements and places for food and drink, making it the perfect place for all ages to have a family day out. Southport Pleasureland and Pier is also a great experience for those families that are thrillseekers and want a day full of fun and laughter.

At The Hazelwell Care Home, we have an incredibly compassionate and professional team who provide residents with around-the-clock care services, including Nursing Care, Residential Care, Dementia Care, and Respite Care. We invite prospective residents and their loved ones to meet with our Home Manager for a consultation prior to moving in, to ensure that we can meet their every need as well as for them to be sure that we are the right home for them.

Once a resident becomes part of the family, we work closely with them and their relatives to create a care plan that incorporates their needs and interests, meaning we tailor care and support to each individual resident. Care plans are then regularly monitored by our professionals and amended if necessary with the support of our residents and their loved ones. We are also proudly regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who inspects health and social care services across England to ensure they are meeting a high standard.

We strive to offer exceptionally high standards in all that we do, from the care services we offer to our accommodation and facilities. It is our aim to provide all the modern comforts our residents need in a homely environment where they also have access to a variety of things to see and do in and around our care home in Merseyside. As well as beautifully decorated bedrooms, lounges, and dining areas, we also offer private outdoor areas, a rooftop salon, a varied activities programme and much more. We also ensure residents have access to a GP, Optician, Dentist, Physiotherapist and a Chiropodist.
