An Easter Weekend Full of Fun and Outdoor Activity

This Easter weekend we had our own mini version of the famous “Egg Run” with riders from the Wirral Advanced Motorcyclists as they visited to show staff and residents their motorbikes and enjoy a chat about all things petrol-powered before heading out on a ride to Wales! There was an opportunity to sit on the bikes and the riders were more than happy to rev their engines to show just how powerful the bikes could be.

A lot of our residents owned bikes before residing with us and it was incredible to hear their stories of where they have travelled and what models were popular when they were younger. Our visitors and residents found great joy in comparing their favourite routes and brands of protective gear.

Residents enjoyed the sunshine and a cup of tea with some cake in the front of the home, baked by our wonderful in-house kitchen team. Visitors and staff enjoyed getting to know all about the bikes and just how loud they can be!

At The Hazelwell Care Home, we take great pride in doing things our residents can enjoy on a daily basis. Whether that is inviting in visitors, going out in our luxury transport or activities as part of our varied activities programme, we have something for everybody. There are many benefits associated with evoking memories of the past including increased mental health, cognitive functions and social opportunities which perfectly aligns with our first-class approach to care.

If you are looking for any further information on what we offer as part of our facilities or in our care services, please don't hesitate to get in touch with a member of our dedicated team or book a tour of our care home in Wirral.
