Scrabble Sessions at Hazelwell Care Home

At Hazelwell Care Home, we regularly hold scrabble sessions and competitions in our dining room to encourage our residents to socialise with one another and stay stimulated. Our scrabble sessions are a great way to gather residents together, whether they choose to participate or watch the game with a glass of wine, it is an enjoyable time that always has high attendance, especially as we are soon approaching our semi-finals.

Our activities team goes to great lengths to provide a wide variety of games and activities for our residents to join in with, whether they are up for a competitive round of bingo or a friendly board game, there is something for everyone on offer. 

We have seen the first-hand benefits of encouraging our residents to participate in the many engaging activities that we have to offer. Not only do these types of sessions have a positive impact on our residents socially, but they are also great for keeping the mind and body active.

Our activities programme offers endless opportunities to build new social connections within our care home, enhancing the independence of residents, reducing loneliness, and keeping our residents physically active.
