Hazelwell continue to Support the Night Shelter YMCA Birkenhead

Last year, we selected the YMCA as our chosen charity to fundraise for throughout the year.

We have previously helped the YMCA in Birkenhead by donating new hats, scarfs, gloves and other items to help people, without a home or shelter, deal with the freezing cold temperatures.

This year, we raised money for the Christmas donation with a raffle – the much needed cash was used once again to buy hats, gloves, socks and a variety of chocolate goodies.

Our care home Manager, Kathryn McGuinness, explained: “The Hazelwell is extremely pleased to be able to do our bit to support the local YMCA in any way we can. We hope that the money raised by The Hazelwell will go some way to ensuring the young people that the YMCA help have a happier Christmas.”

About the YMCA
The YMCA is a Christian charity founded by philanthropist Sir George Williams in 1844, the oldest and largest youth charity in the world. Its mission is to allow young people to belong, contribute and thrive in their local communities.
