The mayor unveiling our new defibrillator at Hazelwell Care Home

Unveiling our New Defibrillator

Last month, we invited the Mayor of Wirral, Jerry Williams, to help unveil a brand-new defibrillator that we have had installed in our home. This machine is a valuable and lifesaving resource for not only our residents but also our local community.

The defibrillator has been registered on the national database, which means the device is visible to 999 call handlers and they can direct any caller to the machine during an emergency. The defibrillator is located just inside our reception area and is accessible at all times.

Our home manager, Simon Paul commented:

"We’ve been very keen to get this piece of kit installed in the home as soon as possible as we fully understand the need to act swiftly when someone is experiencing a cardiac arrest.

Having the defibrillator installed enables our trained care team to react quickly for the benefit of our residents, team members, and visitors in their time of need".

Simon went on further to say:

"The home is very much an active part of the local community and it felt only fitting that we made this resource available to be used by all".

We invited our local community to join us at the unveiling, including Ernie the Therapy Dog, and many attendees used the event as an opportunity to look around our luxury care home.

If you would like to find out more information regarding the care services and luxury facilities we have to offer here at our nursing home on the Wirral, then please do book a tour or get in touch with our team who will be happy to help.
