Wonderful Birthday Celebrations at The Hazelwell

There was plenty of laughter and happy memories at The Hazelwell as we came together to celebrate a very special occasion with our resident Barbara’s 105th birthday. We were also lucky to celebrate Keith's 95th and Margie's 86th, with a trio of amazing milestones.

A Special Musical Visit

Singer Sheila Callaghan brought everyone together in joy and companionship, performing much-loved songs from Karen Carpenter to classic Doris Day. The familiar music created a wonderful atmosphere, encouraging residents to sing along and share stories.

Celebrating birthdays is an important part of life at The Hazelwell, bringing residents, families and our team together for meaningful moments of connection. Music, in particular, is a powerful way to spark memories and create shared experiences that everyone can enjoy, and we love seeing the positive effects that it has for our residents.

More Milestones to Celebrate

While Barbara’s 105th birthday was at the heart of the celebrations, it was also a very special day for Keith and Margie. Keith marked an incredible 95th birthday, and Margie celebrated her 86th birthday, making it a truly memorable triple celebration at The Hazelwell.

Each of them loved being part of the celebrations, with cheerful company helping to make their birthdays feel just as special. We were delighted to have three wonderful residents enjoying birthdays together and wish Keith, Margie and Barbara another year filled with happiness and cherished moments.

A Sweet Treat to Enjoy the Day

Our Head Chef Marc made Barbara a personal favourite, a beautiful chocolate cake to mark her 105th birthday. The cake was the perfect centrepiece for such a special occasion, and Barbara thoroughly enjoyed every moment of her celebration.

We would also like to say a special thank you to Pete, Manager at Aldi, for gifting a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and to Laura at Majestic Wine for generously gifting a lovely bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. These thoughtful gestures helped make the celebrations even more special.

We are so excited to be able to wish a happy 105th birthday to Barbara, as well as a happy birthday Keith and Margie. Here’s to more memories together.
